National Men’s Senior Pairs

Played at Royal Leamington Spa

 

First Round

Played on Friday 18 August 2017

 

Arthur Allonby and John Sutherland were playing

in the First Round of this competition against

a team from Oxfordshire.

Unfortunately, they were not able to complete

the game as John sustained an injury during the game and had to retire. 

This meant that Oxford went through to the next round.

 

What a very disappointing result for Arthur and John who had worked so hard

to reach this stage of the competition.

 

Commiserations Arthur and John, hopefully you will make a full recovery John,

and that you can both try again next year.

Played at Cramlington Bowling Club on 2 August 2017

In the first round of the Champion of Champions Competition

Tony Fantozzi was away to A Tait from St Peter's Bowling Club.

The result of that game was 21 shots to Tony

against his opponent's 5  shots.

County Two-Bowls Singles Champtionships

In the second round of this competition,

David Smith was at home to

A Johnson, Fossway Bowling Club.

The result of that game was 12 shots to David

against his opponent's 13 shots.

Spring Open Jumbles

The Terry McBriarty Trophy

Saturday 22 April 2017

Despite the very cold weather, there was plenty of sunshine

for the Spring Open Jumbles which attracted 32 players 

who competed for the Terry McBriarty Trophy.

The winner this year was Malcolm McPherson,

and the joint runners-up were Darren Mitchell and Davy Melling.

Our Club Secretary, Bill Gilbert, presented the trophy to Malcolm.
